Elevation Off Grid

A Customer's Unfiltered Experience

My Story

My name is Fred Bin. I am a serial entrepreneur and automobile enthusiast who lives in Southern California. I have a young family and I recently got into trucks. I started my truck journey with a Raptor. Then I built an F-350. Later I ordered an Elevation Off Grid F-550, and subsequently built a few F-450s with my friends, one of which I exhibited at SEMA in November 2025.

As of January 2026, I am in the middle of a horrific experience with Elevation Off Grid. The whole story with accompanying emails and other documentation is outlined below. I created this site to share my experience to hopefully prevent other folks from enduring the same nightmare. This is what I wish I had found before I decided to do business with Jerime Monroe and Elevation Off Grid.

Summary

Here's the TL;DR: I paid Elevation Off Grid $125k starting in 2024 for a truck that was to be delivered no later than June 2025. First they ghosted me, then they delayed my delivery 5 months, later they missed subsequent deadlines, and finally they refused to deliver my truck at all or refund the $125k I paid them. Yes, you read that right.

A Few Important Notes

Unfortunately I have had to resort to litigation to be made whole. I am extremely fortunate to have the time, resources, and excellent counsel to hold Elevation Off Grid accountable for their conduct.

After Elevation Off Grid wasted more than a year of my life, breached our contract, and absconded with my money, I decided to turn what was a hobby of building one-off trucks with friends into a real business. I am launching a company that builds F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks and delivers on its promises without excuses.

I created this site not to promote that business - you will note I intentionally do not even share its name here. To the contrary, I want to be totally transparent with readers. This is a decision I made after getting jerked around by Elevation Off Grid for more than a year. I expect they will claim this is a smear campaign designed to promote my new business. Let me be crystal clear: that is not the case. The record is clear and indisputable - review the documents and judge for yourself.

I'll update this site periodically. Under no circumstance, however, will I ever take it down. It is important the world has a record of what it is like to be a customer of Jerime Monroe and Elevation Off Grid. I prepaid for a decade of domain registration and hosting. We're all set and hunkered down.

The content contained in this site represents my documented personal experience. Everything I say is backed up with incontrovertible evidence. To be clear, I am not advising you to do or not to do business with Elevation Off Grid. You should do your own research and make your own informed decision.

If you or someone you know has had a similar experience or just want to chat about trucks or clowns, feel free to use the contact form below. I suspect there are more of us out there. I welcome your participation as I carry the torch to hold Elevation Off Grid and Jerime Monroe accountable.

Detailed Summary + Supporting Documentation

My experience is hard to believe. That's why I took the time to document it all in detail.

Initial Contact - 2024

I reached out to Elevation Off Grid (EOG) after seeing one of their Instagram posts. Beautiful trucks. Massive Tires. Futuristic suspension. I had never seen anything like it before. Had to have one.

I contacted EOG via their website. Their "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks," Travis, responded. Turns out he's their sales guy. You will soon see delivering anything is not within this company's core competency.

Travis initially sent me a one pager on their builds and then ghosted me - he literally wouldn't respond to my emails. But I wanted the truck badly, so I called their office a bunch of times.

He finally got back to me and sent me this email, where he answers some of my questions and states that customers are to pay $35k for a "build reservation" and we would discuss options later.

Looking back, it's absurd and I feel like a fool for going along with it. Why on earth would anyone pay $35k for a place in line? It's not like EOG was investing in any inventory on my behalf or purchasing a chassis.

I was a fool blinded by the siren of a new truck...

$35k Deposit - Nov 2024

Jerime Monroe, the Founder and President of EOG, sent me an email on November 11, 2024, to request a wire payment of $35k.

In that email, he states we will have an options meeting "within 14 days" of EOG receiving my deposit. Keep this timeframe in mind!

Options meetings are very important when building custom vehicles because they determine the full build scope and the total cost.

Jerime also included a build sheet, which I will share below.

Initial Build Specs; Stood Up 3x

Here's the initial build sheet for EOG's standard F-550 Black Edition. The price is $209,900 before any options.

The document is several pages long - this screenshot is just the first page. This document - and every other exhibit on this website - are available in full unadulterated form via the Google Drive link at the bottom of the page so you don't have to squint.

There are a few interesting points here - the build sheet lists my name, it is dated Nov 11, 2024, and it lists an expected delivery date of Q2 2025.

Now remember, we were supposed to have that options meeting "within 14 days" of me paying my $35k deposit. I paid my deposit via wire on Nov 14, 2024, so theoretically I should have had that meeting before Dec 1, 2024.

Well, surprise - their "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" flaked on 3 different calls he scheduled with me between December 2024 and March 2025. He literally scheduled Zoom calls and just never showed up.

I got busy with work and some family health issues. I figured EOG went out of business so I just put this on the back burner. My mistake.

July 2025 - Demand for $90k Out of the Blue

We're now in July 2025. I paid EOG a $35k deposit 8 months ago and I was supposed to have already received my completed truck at least a month ago.

At this point, the "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" stood me up several times and we hadn't even figured out what it is we are building. Remember, I was supposed to have an option meeting in November 2024 and my truck was supposed to be delivered to me no later than June 2025.

None of those things happened - I just wired EOG $35k and got stood up multiple times by the "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks."

On July 10, 2025, I unexpectedly received an email from Brandi, who is the office administrator at EOG, casually requesting $90k. To Brandi's defense, she is perhaps the most professional and honest person who works at EOG. I wish her well..

Anyway, as you may imagine I wasn't going to wire EOG another $90k before understanding exactly what truck we're building, so I requested to finally have that options meeting.

Options Meeting; $45k for Bigger Tires; Request for Cancelation

In July 2025, I finally had that fabled options meeting with the "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks."

Unsurprisingly, he flaked again. We rescheduled. He finally showed up. The meeting was supposed to be a Zoom call but the clown calls me from his cellphone while driving somewhere with terrible service. Par for the course with EOG.

We discuss options and I ask about bigger tires.

EOG's standard build uses 41" equivalent 335 tires. At the time I had an F-350 on 40" tires, so I wanted something bigger on my F-550. I had seen EOG put 44" equivalent 365 tires on a truck and wanted to explore that.

The "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" tells me 44" tires require a 4" (vs 2") suspension lift. That makes sense.

He then says a 4" suspension is in limited production and much more expensive, and it requires certain other components that are in very limited supply, as well as a lot of custom engineering and labor. On that basis, it's an extra $40-45k. Yes, you read that correctly.

Now keep in mind we're using the exact same wheels, we're just talking about a little more rubber. I was so shocked I asked him to confirm several times, which he did.

I called baloney, so I contacted the suspension manufacturer directly. They tell me both 2" and 4" systems are readily available, the cost is the same, and the installation labor is the sale. Hmmmm.

I concluded these EOG were shysters, so I sent Jerime an email requesting to cancel my order. That email is excerpted to the left here. It also contemporaneously outlined my experience to date.

Jerime called me a few hours after sending it. He apologized profusely. He claimed his "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" did not have the requisite technical knowledge to answer questions about their products. Jerime said that when a customer orders 44" tires, EOG includes a bunch of other options like sound deadening, they call it a "Black Edition Ultimate," and that's why it's an extra $35k (so a total of $245k vs $210k).

A copy of my revised build spec, reflecting the Black Edition Ultimate and now stating a new delivery date of September or October 2025, is excerpted to the left. Note these guys can't even keep their stories straight about pricing ($40-45k vs $35k upcharge).

Jerime also declined to allow me to cancel my order. In fact, he questioned whether I was having financial distress and if that was my real motivation for wanting to cancel vs just catching his "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" trying to take advantage of me.

Jerime did promise to personally shepherd my vehicle to completion and said it would be done by October 2025.

Me, being the fool that I am, believed him and figured it would be better to cooperate and get the truck done than fight about my deposit.

Of course, I was wrong!

SEMA 2025

SEMA was in November 2025. I still hadn't received my truck I was supposed to receive originally no later than June 2025 and then no later than October 2025.

EOG put on a great display at SEMA stacking their customers' trucks. I happened to be there displaying a truck I had built and EOG actually invited us to visit them.

I spoke to their "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks." He did not recognize me - he just figured I was a prospective customer.

I asked about delivery timeframes, and he told me EOG delivers trucks <2 months once a chassis is in their shop. I pressed him and he confirmed that several times. That's also what I heard him telling other folks.

Now think about that for a second - my chassis had purportedly physically been in their shop since July 2025. It was supposed to be done no later than October 2025. It was now November 2025 - 4 months later - and my truck was not even close to being done.

At the same time, the "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" was telling unsuspecting consumers that if they pay deposits they'll have a truck in less than 2 months when he can't even get my truck out in 5 months! Ridiculous!

January 2026 - No Truck For You! But We Keep Your $125k!

On January 5, 2026, after I still hadn't received my truck that was supposed to be delivered 6+ months earlier, Jerime Monroe, EOG's principal, called to advise me that he was unilaterally cancelling my order and refusing to deliver a truck to me because he learned I had built some trucks on my own and I was therefore a competitor.

He told me he had his lawyers spend all day looking into me and claimed I only ordered a truck from him so I could "reverse engineer" it.

This is laughably absurd.

First, I tried to cancel my order in July 2025 in writing after a string of broken promises, abhorrent customer service, and their "President of Delivering Bad Ass Trucks" lying to my face as he tried to charge me $45k for two more inches of rubber. At that time, EOG refused to allow me to cancel my order.

Second, with respect to the allegation about reverse engineering itself, there is precisely nothing to reverse engineer - all components EOG uses except its bumpers and fenders are readily available from the exact manufactures they purchase them from. Further, no non-idiot would ever seek to reverse engineer their silly bumper designs.

So as you might imagine, I had ZERO objection to EOG wanting to cancel my order, provided they returned my deposits to me in full.

Initially, Jerime told me that he would refund the $125k I had paid them immediately.

Unsurprisingly, the money never arrived, ergo the birth of this website and the commencement of litigation to hold EOG accountable for their conduct.
